Amy H. --- Biography

Amy has more than eight years of retained executive search experience and has filled over 150 searches in functional areas such as: sales/marketing, IT, operations, human resources, manufacturing, insurance, higher education, and board of directors.  Amy’s varied experience includes the following industries:  consumer products, logistics, manufacturing, professional services, education, retail, telecommunications, legal, and food/restaurant.

She is passionate about search and believes potential candidates should know both the positive aspects and challenges they may face with a new position.  Likewise, a client should understand the strengths and weaknesses of a slate of candidates.  This transparent quality has made for more successful placements.
   
Amy recently placed the EVP Sales for a $9B publicly-traded transportation company, and successfully filled the Headmaster position for a private gifted academy.  Both were very different searches – vastly different industries & roles, but each market was researched and hundreds of calls were made to find the top qualified candidate for each client.

Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
Amy spent 11 years in Chicago, Illinois, but now resides in Kansas City North.  She enjoys chasing after her two young children, pilates, and exploring the outdoors on long walks with her husband.
